When you join the Big Deal Club, you’re doing more than just becoming a monthly donor – you’re investing in our communities children and youth and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Over 70% of our Littles come from single-parent homes, and the average annual household income is less than $30,000. BBBS seeks to provide a safe passage through childhood for kids that face greater adversities, and empower them to reach their full potential. With your monthly gift, we can continue to offer the essential service of mentorship. Access to a positive adult role model is a proven preventative measure to keep children and youth out of harm’s way and enable them to thrive.  An ounce of cure is worth a pound of prevention – that’s where we come in.

Prevention is not only more cost-effective than solving an existing problem, but addresses and eliminates disparities for Canadian children and improves the quality of life for all Canadians.

Every $1 invested in BBBS yields a $23 return to society. Over 65% of our former Littles graduate from a Post-Secondary institution, most report increased income through their career, and as a result contribute more taxes and contributions back to society. This means that your monthly donation has a social return on investment of 23 times – a return that you can see right here in Northumberland.

For as little as $10 a month, you can help prevent a child from being put in harm’s way, and empower them to become a thriving adult.

That makes you a Big Deal.
