Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northumberland is working hard to make a difference in our community by providing children with a life-changing relationship with a mentor. In order to support our work, we run our Second Helpings Thrift Stores that give shoppers affordable deals on both gently used and new items. Our two locations (Port Hope and Colborne) generate funds to support our mentorship programs for children in Northumberland County.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northumberland serves over 200 families in Northumberland County every year, enabling life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of vulnerable youth. Through these vital relationships, our youth see a positive impact in life, school, work and the future of our community.
Families we serve often face adversities like unstable employment, income and housing. By donating through the Second Helpings Program just a little can spark a BIG change for our families. Your support will mean that essential items like toiletries, food, clothing and household items will be provided for families who need it most.
